New Year - New Blog - Same Shite Though...

Well folks, we're well into silly season in the city of Hull, there have been no beds for patients in either the Royal Infirmary, or Castle Hill Hospitals for some time now, so they get 'stacked' in corridors, not in A+E though as this would mean patients going into 'breach' which means slapped wrists and an accountant within the hospital trust being really unhappy for failing to reach governmant targets.... It's better for the accountants and managers at least to leave patients on trolleys, in wheelchairs in 'Assessment Units' instead. I'm not sure the patients would agree though.

The hospitals are full of Gp referrals because they can't be arsed to come out and see patients, as it's SO much easier to tell them to ring for an ambulance and pass them on to become someone elses problem, and wards are closed for deep cleaning for the 'Winter Vomiting Bug', while other wards close as there's no staff to man them.

In the meantime the ambulance control has moved 40 miles away from the hospital in order to 'centralise' the operation.

So for weeks now, we have had the 'moan at the first person wearing green trousers that we see' syndrome, like we've not heard it already today, yesterday, last week and like, we've not been busy carrying smoking, bloaters up flights of stairs all day as it is.........

Anyhow - moan over, but I'm sure there'll be more to follow as we progress!

I'm going to promise more blogs, as I've cancelled a few accounts elsewhere on the net on social networking sites etc. to give me more time on here, as this should provide some catharsis and therapy!
